SYNOPSIS
This is a story for all families, a fun play that takes up the genre of Mexican shepherdes, a tradition that has been lost over time. That is why we have given ourselves the task of recovering this custom that identifies our celebrations but giving it a modern touch.
Our story begins on Christmas Eve in the quarters of the when Princess Britany, who is desperate, has called her most faithful servant, Marimar. When in the end she appears, the strange wardrobe that she wears causes strangeness in the princess who asks her why she is dressed that way?, the cause being the rehearsals of the annual shepherdess that the servants of the castle perform on Christmas Day after finishing their work thus celebrating this very special date.
The princess of course has no idea what a shepherdess is, and even less with the difficult past she has had in her life. Her mother died when she was little and her father, due to the responsibilities that as king he has had all his life, could never take care of her, filling her with gifts, material things in addition to granting her all the unimaginable whims.
Brittany has spent her entire life locked in the castle, waiting for her prince charming, without knowing the outside world and much less the reality of ordinary people's life. At the death of her mother, Marimar the maid, made the faithful promise to take care of her and that is why she has endured the bad character and mistreatment of this all her life.
Later Britain has called Marimar again, but when she is unsuccessful she decides to go look for her in the kitchen of the castle, a place that their eyes have never seen. He secretly observes part of the rehearsal of the staging, where angels, shepherds and little devils are directed by the great director Venancio de la Borboña, a famous playman brought from distant lands. As expected, the scandal he will make is unprecedented, however to calm the spirits the great director intervenes and makes him believe that he has finally found his inspiring muse, a born talent and has promised to turn her into the star that the world expects.
